Winery
Our vineyards begin their path some decades ago, but it is in 1990 when they are energically promoted with their reconversion and restructuring to autochthonous Galician variety. We grow and produce the “Albariño”, variety of a great value in oenology.
Tradition and history are joined together in the farming of our vineyard located in the Tea valley within the O Condado area of south Galicia. Its idyllic position, close to the main roads, airport and just half hour from the near lively city of Vigo provides excellent opportunities for enjoying the rural historic monuments, sampling local dishes or relaxing at one of the numerous Spas.

History 
The name “Vila do Corpus” comes from a custom which, at the beginning of the century, appeared when the neighbours of the village began to cover the streets with flowers and other vegetal elements. Then, the Corpus Christi Procession had to go over them. This trademark is born due to this festival (nowadays declared of International Tourist Interest) and to the fact that, in 1980, Ponteareas is nominated “village”.
The parish of Canedo was conferred to Paio of Soutomaior, an important Galician lord, at the end of the 14th century where he erected the Soutomaior “pazo” (a typical Galician palace). The “pazo” was occupied by the Lords of Soutomaior until the 18th century when it was bequeathed to the Franciscan order for the purpose of building a convent and it is still inhabited by monks to this day.
The environment
We have an unusual environment where in less than 2 km. We can see various historical monuments (Castilian village, Castle of Sobroso, Convent of Canedo, …) as well as attend one of the festivals declared of international tourist interest as the festival of Corpus Christi.
The Picaraña mount
Our vineyard lies on the hillside of “A Picaraña” mount where the ruins of a medieval fortress (5th century) destroyed by the Catholic Kings once stood. The two main peaks of “A Picaraña” mount (upon one of the summits sits a monumental cross) offers picturesque views of both the town and Sobroso castle.
Roman bridge
This medieval bridge was constructed on the foundations of a pre-existing roman bridge. Legend has it that a pregnant woman could be taken to the bridge at midnight and the first man that tried to cross it was invited to spill the river water over the stomach so the baby would be protected until its birth.
Sobroso Castle
Medieval fortresses of the ninth century and one of the best preserved in Galicia. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were only a few remains of what was once the most important center of medieval power in the South of Galicia. In 1981 it was acquired by the Ponteareas City Council to dedicate it to an ethnographic museum and natural park.
